Disclaimer

⚠️ Important — please read this carefully before joining or creating any savings group on AjoMoney.

1. AjoMoney is Not a Bank or Financial Institution

AjoMoney is a software platform that helps people organise and track rotating savings groups (Ajo, Esusu, Susu, Adashi). We are not a bank, microfinance institution, payment processor, digital wallet, or any kind of licensed financial services provider. We are not regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or any other financial regulatory authority.

2. AjoMoney Does Not Hold Your Money

At no point does AjoMoney hold, receive, process, or control any funds. All money exchanged between savings group members is transferred directly between members and their personal bank accounts — completely outside of this platform. AjoMoney only records and tracks these transactions after they have occurred.

Think of AjoMoney as a digital ledger book. The ledger records who paid and who collected — but the money itself never passes through our hands.

3. We Do Not Guarantee Payouts

AjoMoney does not guarantee that you will receive any payout, that other members will make their contributions, or that any group you join will complete its full cycle. Participation in any savings group carries inherent risk, and AjoMoney accepts no liability for financial outcomes of any kind.

4. Join Groups You Trust

AjoMoney strongly advises all users to only join savings groups with people they personally know and trust. The platform provides transparency tools — you can see who has paid, who hasn't, and the full transaction history — but these tools do not replace the importance of trust between members.

Before joining any group, we recommend you:

  • Know the group admin personally
  • Know other members in the group
  • Agree on how funds will be transferred before the group starts
  • Start with smaller contribution amounts with new groups

5. Contribution Proof is User-Submitted

Payment proofs (receipts, screenshots) uploaded on the platform are submitted by users. AjoMoney does not independently verify these proofs. The responsibility for confirming that a payment was actually received lies with the group admin. AjoMoney accepts no liability for fraudulent or fabricated payment evidence.

6. Platform Availability

We strive to keep AjoMoney available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors outside our control. AjoMoney is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by platform downtime.
